Jim DeVries, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer, ADT, Inc.

Jim DeVries is Chairman of our Board of Directors and President and Chief Executive Officer of ADT. Jim joined ADT in 2016 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, was appointed President in September 2017, and CEO in December 2018. Prior to joining ADT, he spent nearly a decade at Allstate Insurance Company, serving as Executive Vice President of Operations as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, with responsibility for real estate and administration, human resources, and procurement. Jim has also held various executive and management roles at Principal Financial Group, Ameritech, Quaker Oats Company, and Andrew Corporation. Currently, he serves on the boards of ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility services and solutions, and Amsted Industries Inc., a diversified global manufacturer of industrial components. He is a past board member of the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago, the Chicago Public Library Foundation, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree from Trinity International University, a master’s degree from Loyola University, and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Eric Beder, Chief Executive Officer, Senior Research Analyst, Small Cap Consumer Research

Prior to founding Small Cap Consumer Capital, a leading company sponsored equity research boutique in January 2019, Eric M. Beder was a Equity Research Analyst for over twenty years at leading investment banks such as Ladenburg Thalmann, Brean Murray, Wunderlich Securities and B. Riley, among others, focusing on consumer goods and special situations. Mr. Beder is a three time Wall Street Journal Best on the Street winner (in the Apparel and Specialty Retail categories) and two time Starmine/FT Award winner for stock picking in the Textiles, Apparel & Luxury Goods categories. Prior to transitioning to an equity research analyst role, Mr. Beder worked in the commercial real estate and investment banking field. Mr. Beder received his M.B.A. from The Haas School of Business at the University of California-Berkeley and his B.S., with a major in Accounting/Finance, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
